Job Summary
Pabst Labs is seeking an Office Manager & HR Assistant to support the smooth and efficient functioning of our Desert Hot Springs manufacturing facility. In this dynamic role, you will manage day‑to‑day administrative operations, ensure a well‑organized office environment, and provide HR support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement.
This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. You will play a key role in supporting plant leadership, enhancing internal processes, and ensuring a positive employee experience as our business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Office Management
- Oversee daily administrative operations for the manufacturing facility.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, purchasing, and inventory.
- Support scheduling, meeting coordination, and facility-related needs.
- Maintain organized record‑keeping systems, documentation, and general office workflows.
- Assist with coordinating company events, training, and onsite meetings.
- Ensure facility compliance with safety, cleanliness, and administrative standards.
Human Resources Support
- Assist in posting open roles, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork and orientation scheduling.
- Help maintain HR records such as personnel files, attendance logs, compliance documents, and I‑9 documentation.
- Assist with employee communications and engagement initiatives.
- Partner with the Director of HR on day‑to‑day HR tasks, compliance, and reporting needs.
- Creates a supportive, respectful workplace by actively listening to employees, de‑escalating conflicts, and helping guide teams toward constructive resolutions.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in office management, administrative operations, or related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Proficiency with office software (MS Office, G‑Suite, HRIS systems a plus).
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced production or manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting HR functions (recruiting, onboarding, compliance).
- Experience in manufacturing, food/beverage, or highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with CA labor laws and HR best practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
